Warranty Policy

Jewelry Warranty Policy

At Joanne Stone Design, we are committed to the quality and craftsmanship of each piece we create. We offer this warranty to ensure that you can enjoy your jewelry with confidence and peace of mind.

Warranty Coverage

We provide a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase.

Within the first 3 months, we cover any manufacturing defects at no cost to the customer.

From 3 to 12 months, we continue to cover repairs related to normal wear and tear, including:

  • Broken chain clasps
  • Open jump rings
  • Stones that become loose due to metal fatigue

If your repair qualifies under warranty, shipping and handling costs will also be covered by us.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON MATERIALS & NATURAL WEAR 

All our pieces are handcrafted and made with natural stones. Due to the nature of these materials, stones may experience natural wear over time, especially with regular use.

After extended wear, stones may become more fragile, even if no visible damage is present.

Not Covered Under Warranty

The following are not covered under this warranty:

  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or impact (e.g., dropping the piece)
  • Chipped, broken, or lost stones due to external damage
  • Normal tarnishing or fading of plated finishes over time

STONES THAT CRACK, CHIP, OR BREAK DUE TO NATURAL WEAR, PREVIOUS USE, OR MATERIAL FATIGUE ARE NOT CONSIDERED MANUFACTURING DEFECTS.

Out-of-Warranty Repairs

If your piece is damaged due to accidental mishandling or falls outside of the 12-month warranty period, we are happy to offer a repair service.

In these cases:

  • A repair fee will be applied, depending on the type of damage
  • Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

 AFTER 12 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE, MOST REPAIRS ARE CONSIDERED OUT OF WARRANTY AND ARE CLIENT-PAID, UNLESS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT CAN BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED. 

 REPAIR RISK DISCLOSURE 

Once a piece is outside the warranty period, Joanne Stone Design cannot guarantee that stones will withstand the repair process.

Due to natural wear, internal stress, or prior use, stones may crack or break during repair, even when handled with the utmost care.

In such cases, Joanne Stone Design is not responsible for stone damage that occurs as a result of attempting the repair.

Metal Credit (Gold Remaining After Repair) 

 If precious metal remains after a repair (e.g., gold), the client may choose to:

  • Receive the remaining metal, or
  • Apply its value (calculated at the current market price) as a credit toward the repair or another purchase

The selected option must be confirmed and documented prior to completing the repair.
